Go outside.
Yes social media had connected us more often online but not offline. It lessens our actual interaction with our friends. You can beat your addiction by going outside and being with your friends OFFLINE.
Have a Timer.
If you can find a software that automatically shut down your PC aat a certain time then you might beat your addiction but of course you need self discipline to do this considering you might just turn off the software. It might be a good idea to find a software that have a password protected function and have your mom or brother to set the password so that you will minimize the idea of you turning it off.
Lock it!!!
Another suggestion that spawn from the above suggestion is try to find a software that automatically lock your PC it might be built in the OS. Also if you have your computer in a computer room you might want to ask your mom to lock your room so that you cannot get in.
Find a new Habit.
Some experts says that a habit cannot be removed it can only be replaced. Well in that case you should find another addicting activity now it does not matter if it would be good are bad as long as you eliminate your internet addiction, hence the title. Well habit that I can suggest is mountain biking a dirt bike riding I'm biased because that is what I do hehehe…
Destroy.
Yes for your last resort Try to destroy your means of getting the addiction and by that I mean destroying your computer or your modem and any stuff that makes you connect to the internet.
